oh word. you escape me. by swift and ashen train. by air and metal wing, a plane. by every echo flutter of my heart’s blood-soaked beat. dash dash -. but meet again at the silent end and sing. we were friends once, word and i. building cloud castles in a paper sky. pencils dancing down blue lines and blushing on the edges before the night. and in the margins the rebel birds… the extra words. fly with me again, sweet word. or even stroll once more. down my neighborhood street and up to my door. oh word.
